Ethel Grace is a Spencer type sweet pea which are highly scented, that produce large lavender flowers that will hold well in poor weather.
Kings seeds recommend sowing seeds into a good quality seed sowing compost and water only with tap water . Do not use butt water as this can contain harmful pathogens , resulting in poor germination.^A

September sowings in flowering site 2cm (1") deep. Later sowings in pots, five seeds in each. October and November sowings in a cold frame. January sowings in an unheated glasshouse. March sowings in a cold frame. April sowings direct in flowering site.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
Glasshouse raised seedlings should be hardened off during March. Plant out pot grown seedlings in the flowering site 15cm (6") apart in April. Thin direct sown seedlings to 10cm (4") apart. Pick flowers regularly to encourage new growth.

Late June to September

Provide sturdy support for plants. After a good rain a mature plant will be very heavy.
