Bhut Jolokia Strain I is a hybrid of Capsicum Chinense and Capsicum Frutescens, also well-known as Bih Jolokia, Borbih Jolokia, Nagahari, naga jolokia and Raja Mircha.
It comes from these particularly districts Assam, Nagaland and Manipur in north-east India. With an intense Scoville Heat 1,041,427 SHU, was recorded by Guinness World Record as the world\'s hottest chilli in 2011.
The plants provide a high-yield production and can reach up to 1 meter in height.
The pods ripen to red within 100 days.
