A fungicide with biocidal activity against fungi
The pentahydrate copper sulphate is a fungicide with biocidal activity against fungi, bacteria and algae.
Dilute solutions of copper sulphate are used to treat infections of parasites in aquarium fish (2 per thousand) and also to eliminate snails from the aquarium. The copper ions are very toxic to fish, so you have to pay attention to the dosage. Many types of algae can be controlled with very low concentrations of copper sulfate. The copper sulfate inhibits the growth of bacteria such as E. coli. High purity copper sulfate with 25% of metallic copper and significant presence of sulphates.
FEATURES: It treats and prevents diseases caused by copper deficiency and in combination with bentonite creates a hostile environment for the development of cryptogams. Essential in winter treatments of pome and stone fruit.
DOSAGE AND CONDITIONS OF USE: The product should be applied in irrigation or soil with suitable means for distribution in the dose of 4 kg/ha.
BORDEAUX MIXTURE PREPARATION
Dilute the hydrated lime in a container with water and filter it with a cotton cloth to remove any lumps; dissolve in another container, the copper sulphate in water. By the addition of the two solutions you get the Bordeaux mixture. Spread the product on plants up to dripping by using a pump equipped with spray nozzles.
DOSES FOR 10 LITRES OF BORDEAUX MIXTURE
- For treatment of vines and fruit-bearing at the beginning the season: 50gr of copper sulphate in 8 liters of water + 30g of hydrated lime in 2 liters of water
- For treatment of vines and fruit-bearing at the end of the season: 50gr of copper sulphate in 8 liters of water + 20gr of hydrated lime in 2 liters of water
- For treatments of vegetable plants: 50gr of copper sulfate in 8 liters of water + 30gr of hydrated lime in 2 liters of water
